HR Advisor Sr Manager - U.S. Retail Bank (Long Island City)
Act as a strategic business partner for senior business leaders within the US Retail Banking. Focus on building organizational and managerial capability for the US Retail Banking leaders. Partner with leaders to recommend & develop organization strategies and execute on business plans. Identify key HR issues with short to long-range impact to the business Resolve highly complex and diverse issues independently and with substantial organizational impact. Manage through change and provide transformational leadership. Strengthen the leadership and coaching culture with the business. Advise and influence all levels of management on the aspects of people-management and leadership with a focus on performance management, organizational development & effectiveness, and manager effectiveness. Assess existing organizational structure and identify/suggest solutions to better align people resources with business strategy (right people in right jobs). Facilitate organization change as required by the business. Drive the alignment of objectives, work, and communications across the organization. Lead change management initiatives, particularly deriving from organization change and effectiveness. Analyze data sources to seek opportunities for business improvement. Assess and diagnosing business problems, identifying opportunities and facilitating the development of solutions. Manage business and HR projects/initiatives; representing HR in cross-function initiatives. Shared Responsibilities. Partner with COEs to deliver HR solutions that enable the business to evolve to meet market place and customer needs. Improve HR capability by partnering with other members of the HR team to develop and implement new and/or improved programs and processes. Manage relationships in support of business and department goals and the ability to establish strong working partnerships with management, employees and HR colleagues. Qualifications Business Advisor who has experience interfacing, coaching and influencing at the senior manager level. Exceptional partnership skills both with the business and within the HR function. Strong business acumen. Integrative thinker with ability to synthesize large quantities of data. Strong experience in Excel, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft, CitiComp and Global Talent Management Systems. Process orientation with solutions mindset. Strong analytical ability with capability of identifying business trends and opportunities. 8 years of hands-on experience in a human resources function in a fast-paced, multi-function environment. Bachelors in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related field. Masters/MBA preferred. Leadership Competencies: Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
